Chris J. Veilleux CFP®, CLU, FMA, FCSI, CPCA
Chris is the founder and CEO of Prairie Wealth Planning Consultants Ltd. He serves as lead Planning Consultant for a select group of young professionals, business owners, farmers and seniors.
He has provided leadership and built successful wealth management teams for much of his career. After 24 years as a financial planning professional with expertise in tax, estate & retirement planning, and investment stewardship, Chris refined a new process to bring value to families served through Prairie Wealth.
This process ensures Chris' clientele benefit from sound counsel in all areas of their financial matters. For many, he becomes the Family CFO:
- Farmers and business owners gain clarity on their succession and legacy plan.
- Seniors enjoy the peace of mind knowing they have a sound and well-planned estate.
- Young adults can get guidance and counsel to set themselves up for a much better future.
He primarily uses a modular style of financial planning, segmenting strategies for clients while remaining mindful of the big picture.
Chris will often embrace a team approach and quarterback key strategies with other professionals such as accountants and lawyers.
Chris is dedicated to raising the professional bar of the financial planning profession, and continues to serve as a leader in the industry. Chris served on the board of the Western Manitoba Chapter of Advocis for 9 years and is an advocate and member of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors.
Since becoming a life and accident & sickness licensed advisor in 1994 and mutual funds advisor in 1996, Chris obtained several insurance, investment and financial planning designations, including Financial Management Advisor (2003), Certified Financial Planner (2003), Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (2004), Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (2009), Chartered Life Underwriter (2011).
Chris and Angie have two active young girls, Julianna and Adèle. He enjoys travel, playing guitar and finding time for almost any sporting activity (when not running after his girls!)
